Who we are

Brief builder is a web-based brief building tool designed to help you structure creative project briefs. We are based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@laurencetaylor.uk.

What data we collect

We collect as little data as possible. At this stage, we only collect: An anonymous session ID, generated automatically when you visit the tool. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.

Basic usage data such as how many briefs you have created in a session. If you choose to join our waitlist, we collect your email address solely to notify you when additional access becomes available.

Why we collect it

The session ID is strictly functional — it allows the tool to remember your progress and enforce fair usage limits. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or tracking across other websites.Your email, if provided, is used only for the purpose you gave it

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie to store your anonymous session ID. This cookie is necessary for the tool to work. It does not track you, and it expires after [30 days / your session ends].

Because this cookie is functional rather than tracking-based, it does not require your explicit consent under UK/EU GDPR. We disclose it here in the interest of transparency.

How long we keep your data

Session data is retained for [30 days] and then automatically deleted. If you provided your email for the waitlist, we will delete it once we have contacted you or within 6 months, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to:
`- Ask what data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to how we use it

Because we collect no personally identifiable information during normal use, most requests will result in confirmation that we hold nothing traceable to you. To make a request, email us at hello@laurencetaylor.uk.

Third parties

We use the following tools to operate the service:
Webflow
— website hosting and user sessions
Make.com — workflow automation
None of these receive your personal data in the course of normal tool use.
